Layne Visser Memorial Jam

Layne Visser was a music teacher at Barrenjoey.  He influenced many students over the years with his enthusiasm and vigour.  Layne was also a master musician, playing in a variety of bands and singing also.

Barrenjoey is excited to share with our Community some of his students and friends performing on Friday July 23rd.

Would you like to perform in his honour on the night please contact Fiona Gudmunson at fiona.gudmunson@det.nsw.edu.au and let her know.  She will be organising the line up on the night.

More information to follow so keep your eyes here.  Keep in mind that Covid restrictions will be strictly adhered to and we will advise when we know closer to the date.  We do envisage ticket “sales” – though it will be a free event – in order to manage numbers based on Covid requirements.

Monies collected on the night will go towards the Avalon Youth Hub, a charity that Layne, Michaela and Barrenjoey High School feel gives back to our community every day. Avalon Youth Hub is a community service for emotional well-being and associated issues, that has been established to support young people in Pittwater.

Hub workers come from a vast range if experiences and they are there to support Avalon’s youth! They care about helping young people and their families reach the help they need to manage a multitude of issues and challenges.
