The NSW Department of Education has partnered with major suppliers to offer free software and collaboration tools to students. Information on software availability, how to download, and also privacy information is found below.
Barrenjoey is also proud to announce that we have signed up to use Google Apps for Education. Google Apps is a cloud-based productivity suite that helps teachers and students connect and get work done from anywhere on any compatible device anytime. It is simple to use and allows you to work smarter. Google Apps and BYOD can finally provide a managed network solution on personal devices and further improve productivity and communication between students and teachers. The introduction of Google Apps to Barrenjoey High School broadens the range of devices that can be purchased for use at school.
In signing the Barrenjoey Technology Use Agreement, students and their parents or caregivers, are agreeing to abide by the safe and appropriate use of technology while at Barrenjoey. Failure to do so will invoke appropriate disciplinary measures by Barrenjoey High and if appropriate reporting to outside authorities. The safety and well being of our students is our primary concern, if you have any concerns about inappropriate use of technology at the school, as in other matters, please do not hesitate to contact a deputy principal.
